Hi, Is anyone familiar with the via82cxxx_audio driver on the 2.4.* kernels, or sound drivers in general. Basically, this is a 2.4.2 kernel. The driver starts correctly on startup about two thirds of the time. The other times I discover it isn't work when I try to run mpg123. modprobe via82cxxx_audio gives this: /lib/modules/2.4.2/kernel/drivers/sound/via82cxxx_audio.o: init_module: No such device Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters /lib/modules/2.4.2/kernel/drivers/sound/via82cxxx_audio.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.2/kernel/drivers/sound/via82cxxx_audio.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.2/kernel/drivers/sound/via82cxxx_audio.o: insmod via82cxxx_audio failed Lines in dmesg cocerning the chipset: agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 94M agpgart: Detected Via Apollo Pro chipset agpgart: AGP aperture is 64M @ 0xd0000000 Mary. -- Mary Gardiner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> GPG Key ID: 77625870 _______________________________________________ techtalk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.linux.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/techtalk
