Just a little more information about my setup:

The drive is a Maxtor harddisk
The partitions are set up like so:
hda1 *   1 -  931 FAT32
hda2   932 - 2482 extended
hda5   932 -  934 /boot
hda6   935 - 1543 /
hda7  1544 - 1552 <swap>
hda8  1553 - 2482 FAT32
