I would think that it would be very difficult to combine these
two functionalities into one program. I would rather see a
LIMP (Linear IMP) (or PIMP: Pathed Image Manipulation. . .:-)
or something as a complementing program perhaps implementing
a lot of the same user interface, but with overall different functions.
(side note: an excelllent basis for a LIMP-style program would be
something uses EPS as it's native format and allows editing of PDF. . .
Just a thought. . .)
Photoshop and Illustrator have some stuff in common, but due to the
changed in medium (dots vs. points and curves) they needed pretty
much entirely different tool-sets.
