Yes, it happens sometimes with Netscape (bug), and if you see it in the
top of 'top' output but nowhere on the screen that means you have to kill
it and then remove lock file. You can do it by

  killall -9 netscape
or right from 'top' itself by pressing 'k' and choosing signal 9.
