Hi All, I am sorry for cross-posting, top-posting, causing some work for list moderators (not being subscribed), and probably some other sins, but being one of the subjects of this mail I thought I would chime in.
My plan was to update my application for PPU upload rights later in the cycle, after we had some stuff uploaded. And thanks to Len Ovens and Erik, I have had lots of packages to review and tidy up this cycle. An thanks also to some willing sponsors, it looks like there have been lots of uploads in the last hours. I really appreciate this. Personally, I was very glad that Erich stepped up to lead Ubuntu Studio, as I had really only had time up to then to just do the bare minimum of maintaining the seeds and ISO testing, release management and announcements for several previous cycles. With Len and Erich's development skills and knowledge of the Linux Audio domain, and my Debian packaging skills, I think we make a pretty good team. If permission is granted, if required, I would be happy to continue mentoring and sponsoring (where I have permission) Len and Erich, as I think they both only need a little more confidence and experience in packaging before they apply for permission themselves. I will get onto that application now!
