If one wants to use PCI-E device passthrough they have to use Qemu machine type Q35 pc-q35-4.0 Standard PC (Q35 + ICH9, 2009) while most Qemu installations would use the following machine type pc-i440fx-4.0 Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996) I noticed during testing using iperf3 (with defaults, that there were watchdog events for em0 on the Q35 machine and that the performance was less than
