I agree with Jason, and see no reason to change our current wording;
on the other hand, I think that the most important part of a
description is outlining what an option does. Explaining that an
option is deprecated is just a side note that helps when choosing what
options we should use. One should read the full description of an
option to completely understand what it does.

I see no benefit in changing these descriptions either.
