Commvault v9 (and older as I recall...) also has this problem. But even worse... it expires indexes quickly and then makes it a total pain to browse and find what to restore that you just end up crying sometimes. I miss how easy Networker was to browse things... but now we're getting off the topic a bit. In general, backups are hard, restores suck and people hate paying money to do it well. At least until they get burned, and then it's more pitchforks and tar and feathering of us than any meaningful change.
