Just wanted to keep the list updated on my Windows backup trek. It looks like BackupPC is out of the question as it requires a LINUX box to handle the backups. While it has windows clients there is no option (at least I couldn't find it) to run the controller portion on my Windows 7 machine. Well I shouldn't say it is out of the question totally as I might do it as a project to try the little Raspberry Pi i bought. But for now I am testing Acronis. That is what they use here in our NOC for all our Windows Servers. While it is backing up I have been searching the site for the licensing info. Ned states it is a lifetime license but I can't find it on the site.
I am going to test Crashplan as the next one. I will keep the list informed of my choice after a week or two. I want to thank the list for all of the responses. This costs $80, so it's $27 per license, perpetual. > Call it $9 per PC per year (assuming lifespan of 3 years.) > -- John J. Boris, Sr. Online Services www.onlinesvc.com
