We are currently using Rackwise (rackwise.com) for managing inventory in a
lab. It is a very MicroSoft centric product that entends Visio for use as
a user interface and leans heavily on the report generator for SQL Server.
The problem that I am having is that I haven't been able to figure out how
to automate getting data in or out. I can import or export a spreadsheet,
but that still requires a lot of manual operations. According to the
sales literature, there is a web services interface and supposedly it
speaks WSDL, but I've been stonewalled by the support people when I ask
for any documentation.
Because of this my manager has asked me to investigate other options for
inventory management and the largest collection of highly skilled
sysadmins that I know of is right here on this list. What are y'all
using?

It's not what I know that counts.
It's what I can remember in time to use.
