Of course *I* realize it.  Much of this is being driven by the desire to 
be able to be able to show the auditors the vendor paperwork that says 
that all it does is email and it is configured to only do a limited amount 
of that,  Add to that the usual sorts of ongoing security updates, being 
able to point at the vendor paperwork on updates also makes it easier.
