If you can come up with a better method than brute-force, then of course that 
should definitely be something that you go with first.

I just wanted to encourage people not to get too disheartened and give up too 
easily, when the only method left that they can come up with is the worst-case 
scenario -- because in practice, the worst-case sometimes looks a lot worse 
than it really is.
