The idea is that tapernate attempts to solve some of the problems that you'll face creating your own "home grown" solution. After all, why are you using Tapestry in the first place? Why not write your own component-based web framework? :-) I wasn't trying to be rude either, but maybe it came across that way (it was early in the A.M.). Sorry.
