You could try SoftKey1 followed by SoftKey2. They must be pressed quickly
within an half of an second from one another.

Is there another way to unlock the keypad other than using the slider on
the side?
Nokia normally use menu+*, not sure if this would work as well?
It is so easy to use now with the help that everyone has provided, thanks
very much indeed!
All I need to try to do now is master the internet and find out how to
open a url other than the home page but that is not really a priority for
me to be honest.

I don't know because I have Belle software and not Anna. After having
selected a new home screen I go to options and I have a choice for new
widget or for shortcut. I choose shortcut and then I get the list. Maybe
Denese Thompson can answer this one for you on list as she still has Anna.

I seem to be making some progress, I can select a new home screen and
Talks says edit home screen.
I then click options and the available menu option there is wigit galary.
It doesn't seem to have things like contacts and messaging in there,
everything seems to begin with a zero.
I tried to copy a shortcut to the desktop and it seemed to work o.k.
and placed an icon on the top row of the screen.
Am I doing something wrong to find the correct shortcuts, I would just
like to put messaging and contacts on my home screen really.

unless you have some sight, I wouldn't update the e6 to Belle. Right
now you can edit and change things around on the touch screen. If you
upgrade to belle that's no longer accessible without some sight.
