Interesting  as I've never had this problem with the E6 and the one I am
selling works brilliantly.

This happend to mine too. What I now do to unlock it is to press the power
button then locate the unlock button just above soft key 2 on the touch
screen. Power and arrow down to lock phone and keys then press select.

I had a big problem with my Nokia E6 which I still use when I go to Ireland 
and that is that the little clip on the side for locking and unlocking the 
keypad, has just worked its way in to the phone and I wrecken it would be 
too costly to repair.
