Hi Eleanor.

>From what I can recall and bear in mind I haven't had this phone for some
time, the way I was holding it meant that my hand or finger was over
part of the speaker which made listening to the speech or music more
difficult.

Bear in mind that, I very often am using my phone whilst doing something
else or standing up. I rarely just put the phone on a surface and send
texts.
I personally didn't find the E7 a comfortable phone to hold particularly
when using the pull out qwerty keyboard.

 Maurice.

Yes but it does not inform regarding the speaker. I recall it is at the
back or positioned where your hand was covering it and muffling the sound.

Let me reitterate that there is a qwerty keyboard on the E7 also. While
Maurice did not raise the issues he had with the E7, I am sure he will
forgive me for jogging his memory. As I recall one important factor was the

speaker and its position. If hearing is a problem I am sure Maurice can
expand on this. The other was that the phone is inclined to slip out of the

hand due to the type of casing finish. This I can verify but is easily
resolved with a cover and therefore providing some friction.
