OK I will give that a go Kit, as this is driving me crazy. I did manage to
find that my e-mail is set up on memory card and I also deleted the e-mail
account but still I could not set up a new one so I will reformat the memory
card and see how things go. Will let you know the outcome.

it worked for me before.\
If your mail account is on your phone memory, get a new or newly formatted
memory card. Go into your Messages and into setting and then others and
location of your msgs stored into. Currently, it should be phone. Change
it
to Memory card. since its first time u changing it, it will prompt to copy
all msgs and u answer yes. then it will prompt whether to delete or safe a
copy on your phone, select to delete it. Warning, once u select delete,
all
msgs copied over will be deleted, so backup whatever u want first.
With this, your email account should moved and deleted. Then reformat your
memory card again to delete off everything. Hope that work.
