You can press the Star twice quickly to get a plus sign.
Three times quickly will give you a P.
Four times quickly will give you a W.
The P will cause the phone to wait 2 seconds before continue dialing.
The W will cause the phone to wait until you press SoftKey1 to continue
dialing.
These can be used together in a number streem in your contacts to dial a
automated phone system to enter things like a bridge id number after the
main number has been entered. So you don't have to remember it yourself or
even have to touch the keypad after selecting the entry from your contacts.

Subject: [Talks] Getting the Nokia N86 to Dial the + (Plus) Symbol on an
International Call
Hi, folks. I'm going to Japan at the end of May. While there, I may
need to call back to the States. How do I get the N86 to dial the +
(plus) sign when making an internation call? Thanks in advance.--Matthew
Chao
