OK you are right Stephen, the soft re-set is no use, anyway at least I did it and found that out but you are saying, as I understand it, that there is no point in me doing the hard re-set either as it will not resolve my problem. The Quick Office was built in to the phone. Now before I do the hard re-set can I clarify that you think it will not work and if not, am I stuck with the phone now not being able to use Word. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephen Giggar" <sgig...@gmail.com>

Did you try arrowing to Quick Office from within the Menu and not through the App. Manager and then pressing CLEAR? Quick Office may be built into the phone and if that is the case, you will not be able to remove it. More then likely even if you did a *#7370# to format the phone it wouldn't fix the QuickOffice issue. Yes you would have to install Talks unless you had it on the memory card and it happend to start back up after a format.

I'm guessing the System folder was in the Data folder on the C: drive C:\Data\System? I can't pitchure the phone letting you delete the Main System folder on drive C:\System. I would expect the phone to have many more issues then what you are having if you even tried deleting that folder. As far as that goes you can't even get to the C:\System folder using the built in file manager.

Subject: [Talks] Ideas Please Quick Office

While this is not a Talks question, I want to use my phone to read Word documents and as I am using Talks to do so I feel it is at least related to Talks.

I deleted a folder off my phone memory called System. My phone is Nokia C5.00 Deleting the System folder means that I removed my licence for Quick Office/Word.

Now if I go to Installed Files and to Office, Quick Office is there but I cannot delete it even though I have gone tried to do so. Strange thing is that if I go to Application Manager Quick Office is not there so I cannot delete it through Application Manager. Now I cannot reinstall Quick Office as it is there already. If I try and open a Word or doc document, I get an error licence Manager not installed and I am asked if I want to install. I say yes and this leads me to Quick Office on the Web. There I get an error 404 and another Error saying Page not found.

I have been in touch with Quick Office but the person there is telling me to remove the current Quick Office but I cannot.

Finally I did do a soft re-set but that did not change things.

I suppose the reality is that I might have to do a reset Factory settings but I would not be happy if i did that and the problem did not get resolved. that would also mean Talks having to be reinstalled so I am trying to avoid this.

Any ideas.

Eleanor
