Using the object viewer, did you change the subtitle to none. This will stop 
the path from being stated each tine you arrow to another file in the same 
directory. This has been the case for a few years. Myself I don't have this 
issue with Talks and haven't had it in a long tine. But again I made this 
change with the object viewer some tine ago.

I've checked settings\General and I couldn't find the  option "path name 
scrolling" to set it to no.
