I've sene this same thing on my N95 from time to time. What you can try to do is to do a Talks long clear to bring up the TTS list. Then switch to a different TTS and press select. This has saved me from having to turn off and on the phone. This doesn't always work but in most cases does. Then I jsut switch back to the TTS I was using. In the case of Eloquence I mornally use the 11KHZ and then switch to the 16KHZ when speech stops and then if it picks back up when I switch I then switch back to the 11KHZ one.

Subject: [Talks] Talks not Working

Hi All
Sometimes on my E5 Talks just stops working. It can be just fine, I can be writing a text or e-mail or even looking for something on the phone and Talks is reading fine and then I hit a character or move with the arrow keys and Talks stops speaking. I turn the phone off and back on again but I am wondering why this happens. It does not happen on any other phone.
