The iPhone list I"m on is at http://groups.google.com/group/viphone?hl=en.

I don't know any other way to join this list other than by going to it's
web site, with a Google Groups ID, and requesting membership. It takes a
few days to get on, and it's a very high traffic list.

There's also the accessible phones list, which you can subscribe to by
sending a message to blindphones-subscr...@mosenexplosion.com. This list
has a lot less traffic on it, and it handles questions on the iPhone,
Android phones as well as Symbian and other  accessible cell phones.
