I think your N95 will hold out for ever as I think my E71 and E72 will.
True re contract but then isn't it a functional phone you want? Personally
I do not care what the person beside me has, all I care about is that I can
get my e-mail and Internet as well as my messages and make calls.

getting back to my original post to the list, these phones that we are
talking about just now are older and probably not available to get on a
new contract.
i suppose my option is to go for a sim only contract, which to be honest
would save me money each month, but on the flip side i wouldn't get an
updated phone.
maybe another option is to go to pay as you go and just hope my n95 will
hold out forever.

note Stephen Gigger still uses one. Have a look on the mobilefun.com
website and note the spelling. You will certainly find some phones like
E71, E72 and E5 (I think). Maybe others.

yes i agree with you in that i will not be happy to move over to a
complete touch screen phone, whether it be a nokia with talks or an i
phone.
i have had a few different nokias over the years and also tried out an i
phone and personally the nokias win hands down every time.
unfortunately as technology has advanced it is looking very like in the
very near future being able to buy an older nokia phone is going to be
near impossible.
i did try out the flagship nokia e7 and did have it for a while to get
used to it, but it just didn't give me the satisfaction and speed that
my current n95 or even my older e65 gives me.

E5 which I find is excellent though it is a qwerty keypad. My 1st
qwerty was an E71 which is still going strong. Just love my Nokia
phones and will never move to the complete touch screen of Apple.
Regretably I heard today on the News that Nokia are laying off another
ten thousand workers so that in total forty thousand will have been laid
off. A sad day for those of us who are Talks users. I also note this
list has been very quiet of late and ask myself why is this? Are more
and more blind and partially sighted people moving away from Talks? I
think in the next couple of years the type of phones working with Talks
is going to deminish greatly.

it does not have wi-fi which is a great pity. However, if you have a
contract and use the Internet and e-mail on your phone you will still
be able to do that but not to download certain things which require
wi-fi capability.

hi.
i have previously owned the e7 and found that i didn't like the
touch screen technology.
to be precise i couldn't use it quick enough compared to using an
older phone that has the regular keypad.
i currently have the nokia n95, which is a good enough phone, but
will be shortly taking out a new contract with my network provider
and was hoping that nokia still had new phones that weren't touch
screen.
thanks to all who are involved in this discussion.
kind regards.

Hi. Would you be prepared to use a touchscreen phone if it also had
a qwerty keyboard? If so, there's the E6 and E7. E7's a bit big,
but the keyboard is truly a joy to use! I think the E6, which is
smaller, has a pretty good keyboard too. Of course, you have to use
the touchscreen to hit keys 1 and 2, but you get a joypad for
arrowing around, rather than having to use the touchscreen.
Just thought these were worth mentioning, in case you can't get an
E5, with qwerty keyboard, or C5, with number pad. No Wifi on C5,
which may be a problem for you.
What phone do you currently have?
Fi,

Only know C5 which is numeric and E5 which is Qwerty. You could
look at
the release notes for last Talks release in February 2012. The
release
notes will be in the same folder on Blindsea that has Talks.
There may of
course be people who have successfully installed Talks on a new
phone but
cannot help on that.

can
