Talking of gps trouble on phones, and sorry if this is off topic as well
please. My wife has a E5, and had a memory card stolen out of her phone.
Now, the maps for South Africa was on this card, rendering the gps software
useless. I know there is ways to get this info back again, but I am not
sure of exactly where and how to go about this to get the maps back on and
installed propperly again. I somehow remember that the map loader software
for the pc is not accessible, so how do I go about this to get the maps, and
or the software back on to her new memory card?
Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

Did you try a Soft reset? You don't loose anything that away accept any
customized things like the way you have your menu and profiles set up.
*#7780#. Then the phone will ask if you are for sure! you need to press
YES and Then the phone will ask for the lock code. If you haven't changed
it, the lock code is 12345 followed by OK. The phone will go quiet for a
minute or two and then come back up talking.
Also make sure that you ahve Talks 5.30 on your phone.

Hello everyone. I think I mentioned this once before. I hope this isn't
too off topic. For over a month, my Nokia e52 has been refusing to let me
into the Maps application. I open it either from the applications menu or
via the Landmarks and it almost loads and then jumps back out. Sometimes,
it makes a beeping sound and says "Application not available". I know this
isn't true. It worked fine until mid March and then stopped. What should I
do? I really want this to work. I don't know how to do a factory reset and
don't want to lose TALKS if I do do one.
Thanks for your help,
Haya Simkin & guide dog Pammy
