Hi Marcus, Can I point out few things here please.
1. For the combo box. pressing left & right, then select it might help to open the combo box. if that cannot open it, then try right and right and select, it will open it up in my E6 and allow me to select it. Of course, this just temp. solution. Web to try on this will be: http://mobile1.emirates.com/?lang=en_US Also, in certain combo box, instead of pressing down to read options, pressing up will allow to go through selections. Web to test is Facebook and in the inbox area. the combo to select what action to take on personal msgs. 2. Pls also look at Find command in Browser. in E6, when pressed the Call key to find for text, the Making call edit will appear to enter number. We have to cancel that window which only then the Find window will be there. Happens in browser, all sites. 3. When in combo problems, after we have successfully open a combo to select using the method in 1., touching the softkey-2 for menu will bring up the combo box. We have to simply select anything in the combo to close it and then only the browser Menu appear. 3. Music Player. Not sure how the sighted can do it, perhaps with long hold of screen but for Talks users we cannot find a way to call up the menu to view songs by Artist, Albums, Playlist and so on, including the refresh library option, not forgetting the podcast. The only option we could get are the options in softkey-1 while playing a song. Not sure of other symbian model but surely happen in E6 symbian Anna. As far as I can see, only the text area bug looks like it is really new in TALKS 5.30, while the problems with combo boxes are actually due to a bug in the new Nokia Browser 7.3 (released last summer) that makes focusing combo boxes somewhat hit-and-miss. Perhaps the workarounds suggested by some of you will still make it possible to make them accessible, but so far I haven't found a reliable way of doing so. I'll look into these bugs when I am back next week - unfortunately the overhead for Symbian Signing a new release always means that from the moment the last test has been completed, there is another two-week delay before the version can actually be distributed publicly for the first time. This is typically the reason for waiting at least for the first month or so of feedback on a new release before deciding how the next patch will look, and when it can be released - but I agree that the text area bug is something that should probably be addressed sooner rather than later...
