Please don't blow this out of proportion! One person doesn't speak for
the whole list! You can't control who is and isn't on the list, so
you'll get all types. Just because one person feels this way doesn't
mean the rest of the list members do. No one person's opinion is any
more valid than anyone else's. For example, your opinion is just as
valid as the person who sent you that message off list.
This list is all about asking questions. There's no requirement that
anyone answers a certain number of questions or even any questions at all.
What you want to do is up to you. I'd look at the person's message, and
if there's a useful suggestion in there then follow it. If not then
ignore it. If it was rude or inflammatory then report it to the list
moderators. I'm sure they don't appreciate anyone on this list trolling
or baiting list members.
Trust me Maurice, there are far more annoying list members, that is if
you're annoying at all.
