First of all, I was not questioning Eleanor's loyalty to Talks, nor was I
questioning her knowledge on Talks problems related to certain devices.
However, it seems to me, that so many users of specialist products, such as
Talks, etc., have come to expect an update to be released as a right, when
in fact, as licensed users of a product, we are subject to the terms and
conditions specified in a license agreement pertaining to the particular
product. And, as users, if we took the time and read any of the license
agreements carefully, we will not find anything in those agreements that
ties any of these companies to a specified period, specifying when a company
will or will not, release an upgrade to any of its products.
So, in effect, we are subject to the whim of the companies as to when they
choose to release an upgrade to their product to the public.
It just so happens that companies like Freedom Scientific and Nuance, have
got themselves into a habbit of releasing upgrades to their products at
about the same time of the year for several releases of their products,
which has lead to individuals posing the question, about whether an upgrade
is due.
We all would like advanced knoledge as to whether a new release of a product
is due, but, we all have to be mindful of asking dealers about possible
upcoming releases, when they are bound by non-disclosure agreements.

I must jump to Eleanor's defence here.
I didn't think that was what she was saying at all - just that she thought
it was about time we had a new release.
I didn't realise we have 2 per year but since that point was made all
becomes Clear.
Eleanor is a loyal Talks user and extremely knowledgeable about many
Talks
issues.

What would be the point of doing that, if they have not added anything to
the existing version of Talks. Although, I cannot believe that is the
case.
And, of course, you would not complain, if they released a version of
Talks
which worked bacly, now would you, eleanor.
Personally, I would rather have a new release of a piece of software,
which
worked as closely to the claims of the manufacturer claimed it did, rather
than an update which was full of bugs and errors, wouldn't you! More
haste,
less speed, should be the motto.

I am very disappointed that we have not had a recent release of Talks or
have we? My last version is the one released back in October 2011. Hope
we do not have too long to wait or else it seems Talks users may be
