It doesn't activate anything on the screen if you just lock the screen with a flick of the finger on the lock key button. It takes a half a second. It's on the right side of the phone below the vol keys.

There's no such setting for capacitive touchscreen phone. But however, if my memory sirve me right, there's such setting available
for resistive touchscreen phones, to set it be more sencitive.

One suggestion from me that maybe can solve your problem. There is some pouch that will have a cover to close the front of your phone so that it will not accidentally activate anything on the touchscreen part.
