It's the fifth press, not the fourth. You go through period, comma, question mark, exclamation mark, then 1.
This is the same deal with 7 and 9 which have four letters instead of three assigned to them. However this doesn't seem to work with the 1 key as I logically thought it would have after going through the punctuation marks assigned to 1. So how do I get the digit 1 into a text?
