If you get good with touch screen you can do all those things. It is not
possible to use qwerty for dialling extension. . I have enough vision to see
the touch screen for some things like dialling and ending a call.

Subject: [Talks] dialing numbers on the e7

Hi list.
thanks for responses to my post of yesterday,
I don't currently have an e7, but it will be turning up the day after
tomorrow, and for a lot cheaper than they wanted to sell it to me in
store for.
I won't be upgrading to symbian anna any time soon, and I think I got
confused about talks, because the version currently out there is for
windows mobile I now understand the difference between windows mobile
and phone 7.
anyway, back to the point of this message,
I have a few questions about dialing numbers on the e7,
I have scene an e7 in store, but of course they wouldn't install talks
for me to try etc, so I am of course a little bit apprehensive about
dealing with the touch screen, even though I understand the theory of
how it is supposed to work from reading the talks manual. unfortunately
my e90 is just two slow now compared to modern technology, though I
would have preferred something without a touch screen.
so my question is, is it possible to dial numbers from the touch screen?
by this, I mean numbers not in your contacts, so if I wanted to actually
dial the number in from scratch.
or am I going to have to open the keyboard up any time I want to dial
anything.
a similar question, if I am on a call, and am faced by one of those menu
driven phone systems, what do I do, am I again going to have to open the
keyboard etc, or can I input the number I want to select from the menu
with the touch screen?

My last question relates to inputting of pin codes.
at the moment, I have a pin code on my sim card for security, can I
input this code from the touch screen? or does anything like that have
to be done from the keyboard?
many thanks for any help,
Alex.
