Is it off topic though? I am not so sure but doubtless we will be told it is. -original message- Subject: Re: [Talks] decided to go back From: "Allan" <em...@nextg.my> Date: 15/08/2011 6:47 am
in my own guessing, no offence, the fix will only come next february or march. i for one are trying another platform now and might make a switch if no improvement in talks in the near future. android looks promising and so far can do whatever symbian can give me. sorry, off topic. -- Allan (WKF) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eleanor Burke" <eleanorbu...@btinternet.com> To: "Talks Mailing List" <talks@talksusers.com> Sent: Monday, August 15, 2011 13:09 Subject: Re: [Talks] decided to go back I have been a user of Talks for over 3 years and must be on this list for 3 years. At no other time of release of Talks upgrade has there been so much disappointment and yet no response from a Talks dealer even. Neil who owns and moderates the list has not even given any words of support by way of assuring us that our disappointment has been reported back to Nuance. On one occassion following a Talks upgrade there was a problem with a release, I cannot recall the issue then but what I do recall is that within 24 hours there was a new file available for us to download. Again I would appeal to those who have influence with Nuance to at least put out some words to us even just to say that our comments have been noted. Otherwise I fear a number of Talks users will move to another platform. This would be very disappointing. As a Talks user I would be very disappointed to have to stop using this screen reader but if opponents provide better products then we will have no option other than to move elsewhere. -original message- Subject: Re: [Talks] decided to go back From: Denise Thompson <deni...@cox.net> Date: 15/08/2011 5:31 am There are at least a couple of dealers on the list so maybe they can get comments back to Nuance. It is sort of a helpless feeling though because I've sent a number of messages to Monty Lillburn who is working on Talks at Nuance and he's never even acknowledged getting my messages. So I don't know if they even read messages sent to them from users of the product.
