I have had the hissing sound on the old Eloquence 6.123 UK AND US on the e72 which was my first experience and the strange thing about it is that the scratching sound is only in Control panel and all the sub-menus within Control Panel. Otherwise it is perfectly clear. Finally while we can all give comment here, I would like to politely ask is it not possible that the developers can get hold of various mobile phones listed as having the scratching so that they might hear it first hand for themselves. If we had a facility for sending attachments we would be able to send tape recordings of the sound. -original message- Subject: Re: [Talks] Eloquence 6.1.125 issues! hello. my experiences of eloquonce and the scratching sounds: my phone is the nokia e7. i have used the talks 5.20 and the eloquonce 123 without any problems. when i upgraded to the talks 5.21 and eloquonce 125 i notice this really bad scratching/hissing sound when i arrow either over, or through words that have any s's or f's in them. it sounds like my new nokia e7 phone has a majour speech impediment when i try and read words with either s's or f's in them. i also tried various combinations of talks software and eloquonce, but whatever version of eloquonce, whether it be english or american, i get the same results with talks 5.21. now, i am no expert on this subject but i would say that it was more the new release of talks that is the problem rather than the new eloquonce release as the old version of eloquonce had exactly the same bad result with the new version of talks, where as the older version of eloquonce worked great with the older version of talks. i hope this can help build a picture for nuance and that a fix can be made available soon. regards. stephen faill -------------------------------------------------- From: "Stephen Giggar" <sgig...@gmail.com> Sent: Saturday, August 13, 2011 10:57 AM To: "Talks Mailing List" <talks@talksusers.com> Subject: [Talks] Eloquence 6.1.125 issues! > I know many people have reported a hissing sound when using Eloquence and > or low volume and or a scratching sound. > > Can people provide what Eloquences these issues happen with along with > what phones they are seeing it on. > > Example: When the hissing sound, scratching sound happens, when does it > happen?
