The phones sometimes do this after a call. It sometimes takes up to half a
minute to actually disconnect the call through the cellular system. This has
nothing to do with this talks release. I have seen this with the other
screen reader in a variety of different versions on several different
phones. I am guessing it is more a cell provider equipment issue than a
phone issue.

hi Stephen,
thanks for starting this thread.

i have tested talks 5.21.3 and eloquence 6.1.125 on the following phones:

nokia n8
nokia x6
nokia 6120c
nokia e72
nokia e5
nokia e6
nokia e7

and the result are the same. the scratching eloquence sound happen
everywhere. one more thing, after a phone call, within about 3-5
seconds, meaning the talks voice change from call speaker to external
speaker, it will produce a funny eloquence voice, the voice
sounded alike the nokia tts.

Subject: [Talks] Eloquence 6.1.125 issues!

I know many people have reported a hissing sound when using Eloquence and or
low volume and or a scratching sound.

Can people provide what Eloquences these issues happen with along with what
phones they are seeing it on.

Example: When the hissing sound, scratching sound happens, when does it
happen? Does it happen all the time? Does it only happen when the screen
reader is reading something or when the screen reader is not speaking
something?

What languages are you seeing the issue with? Same goes for low volume with
Eloquence?

Basically any additional information of when any issues happen with
Eloquence the more information provided will help the coders.

Like I said, Dealers watch this list along with the makers of Talks. Some
dealers comment on list while others do not. Most of the time, the Nuance
staff don't comment on list but do watch the list from time to time.

This is why I'm starting a new thread for Eloquence to help it stand out
from the rest of the traffic on list.

So only include Eloquence information in this thread.
