Stephen I went with 5.20.3 as I noticed the volume level is lower with the
latest release. It's probably the new eloquence rather than talks. It's
beautiful that version of talks and the firmware the help system works very
nicely, the browser works as it should and the symbol list is also perfect.
I've have not set up the email as yet but I'm certain it will work as
expected.
Now I won't alter the firmware on that handset until there is a good reason
for doing so. It's nice having a fully working phone again.

I just checked the firmware version on this new e72-2 it is
051.018
release date august 5 2010
so I think the first talks release after that date should be the right one
as it would have fixed the symbol list not speaking problem of that
firmware
version.
Stephen would that be correct. I want to make sure I get this handset
right
then I won't upgrade it unless there is a problem addressed by an update.
I'm certain the following version of talks fixed the symbol list problem
and also made the help files work with talks long down arrow press.

I'm very pleased I forgot about that handset as far as upgrades go. I

it's about time it stopped being a spare. I've just taken it from it's
box,
loaded the battery and connected the charger. I'm not sure if I should

the latest talks on it or just upgrade from talks_501_1_signed to
talks_520_3_signed.
I may have to re purchase a couple of apps like phone wallet, bet timer
and
walking hotspot. Still it's a lot cheaper than switching to another
platform I don't like anyway.
I was trying to sell the new e72-2 now I am pleased I did not.
