I cannot understand how the Talks dealers have not checked these problems prior to release. Please bring these matters to Nuance we do not want to have to move away from Talks and please help to keep talks going at the hi standard we have been used to.
-original message- Subject: Re: [Talks] Release of Talks v5.21 From: Ömer Yesiltas <yesiltas1...@gmail.com> Date: 11/08/2011 7:50 pm Hi, I have installed the latest version to my phone. the eloquence us voices have a scrachy sound as many people stated. On fifth edition devices, there are a few more things to do and some apps are not as accessible as before. web, it does not allow me to click the links, or talks can not update itself after the new page loaded. I have tried with other screen reader, i have no problem with web application, i can click and activate links and pages are loaded without problem. But, when using talks, i click a link, talks says the name of the link, lower case etc, then reads the progress bar and i find myself in the same page i was in. Or, talks thinks i am in the previous page. it can not update the page, so, clicking the links bring nothing. I tried with mobilespeak, clicking a link really works. landscape mode, the talks shortcuts do not still work on home screen on c6-00 when the slide keyboard was open. when i close the slide or go to menu or some other application, it works. On email app, when i wanted to read an email, talks only says browser, and reads nothing more. it reads the email list but still can not read the email content. I think this has been a hasty update, may be a counteract against the 2 quick releasesof codefactory. I remember that the previous versions were including many new accessible apps or features, and new fixes. this version only fixes the web problem at some point, and nothing more. this really led me to think that nuance is getting ready to abandon symbian platform when necessary and spending their sources for other platforms like android Iphone or wm7. www.cepdenizi.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Neil Barnfather - TalkNav" <for...@talknav.com> To: "Talks Mailing List" <talks@talksusers.com>; <talks...@freelists.org> Sent: Thursday, August 11, 2011 12:31 PM Subject: [Talks] Release of Talks v5.21 > Dear All, > > Nuance have released the new latest version of Talks, available for > immediate download from TalkNav's FTP site, www.talknav.com, simply click > on Nuance Accessibility, Downloads, then click the link to connect to our > FTP, and then follow through. > > Release notes below, you can also from our site purchase any upgrades to > your license that you may need, or indeed, transfer licenses that you may > require if you now wish to try out a new phone. > > Nuance TALKS&ZOOMS Version 5.21 > Release Notification > 1.
