What Elanor is trying to say here is this, if you call your bank from the
phone and you have to do the same steps every time with the same key presses
to access say your account balance then why not use this method. It would
require knowing the exact steps you take to access that infomation so you
can input it into the address book. The only limitation that I can see is
the number of characters that a number field within the contact list will
hold. Not sure if there is a max number of characters it will allow. Dr.
Phone... any ideas?

hi, thanks for the reposting of the mail. but unfortunately, the issue for
S^3 phones is totally different. the issue is that the
current release of talks does not speaks while in the middle of a phone
call, therefore it is no easy way to dial an extention,
entering passcode or even dial a password for phone banking.

thanks again.

Would this be the tyjpe of information you require Maurice in relation to
your dialling a number and then having to get through to an extension
Note it is taken from Stephen Gigger and hence I leave his name at the end
of the message and his signature.

It would work for as many digits as you want. I use it for teleconfrences at
work whare different groups have bridge telephone numbers and then there is
a 7 digit pen code to enter followed with a Hash/Pound/Number button. So I
see no reason why you couldn't use it for dialing a 10 digit phone number
then putting a W followed by lets say a 16 digit code followed by another W
> and then some more numbers.

So what I'm getting at hear is you can have more then one W or one P in a
dialing string. You can also have a W with a P someware else in the dialing
string. So a dialing string can contain both a pause and a wait or many of
both control characters.
