I downloaded Ovi maps from the blindsea website, and selected the software
for my Nokia n82.

Where did you get the copy of OVI Maps that you are trying to install and
what version of OVI maps are you trying to install?
There is a spot on the blind sea web site under the 3rd Edition software
link to get OVI Maps 3.01 for the N82. There are a few link so you need to
make sure that you select the correct one for the N82.

No the Nokia web site uses flash so will not work well with screen
readers being it wants you to select your phone before it will let you
download Maps.
You can go to the blind sea web site to the 3rd Edition software link
and find OVI Maps software there for the N82.
