Interesting Hussein while I do indeed sympathise with you on this, I am interested in you quoting the figure of one hundred pounds sterling as I was not aware of Talks at that price. While you may look to someone to meet the cost, I do not suppose you would be interested in Vodafone putting Talks on for you and then upgrading by fifty pounds. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hussein Patwa" <talksus...@patwanet.co.uk>

Hi,

Just a quick follow up to thank all for their replies to this question.

Thanks to Talknav I've now received the old IMEI and also the bad news that it'll cost £100 to transfer and upgrade the license. I'm now going to consider if it's worth my bearing the cost or if I can get someone else to pay for it, lol.

Thanks again,

H.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I admit all this talk of multiple handsets is getting confusing.

Basically, I'll be transferring the license from an old, now sold handset (which did not have Talks on it when sold) to another handset I have here which does not yet have an active Talks license. Of course, the old license may be so old as to not be upgradable, in which case I'll have to buy a new license regardless.

Hope this makes more sense. Talknav have said they'll be back to me on Monday, so here's keeping fingers crossed for some good news.

Take care for now,

I am thinking again having read your e-mail once more. Of course Talks can be reactivated on the phone you sold, it appeared confusing to read vbut I thought you say that you had forgotten tht you had Talks on the phone you sold! Now I have various hand-sets. this means that I pay £50 each time I transfer to a new hand-set. Surely in your case, the IMEI of the current phone (I recall you said you have an N86 which you are selling). In that case can you not pay £50 and provide the N866 IMEI and the IMEI of the new phone you purchase?

Hi,

That's correct, and I have kept to those terms. The Talks license is
not being sold, it's being transferred to another phone in my
possession and which will remain in my possession.

Thanks for your time,

Forgive me if I have not understood you but you cannot pass on your
Talks lisence when selling your phone.

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could possibly please offer any advice to
fix the following. I'm hoping it's not that rare that it hasn't
happened to someone in the past.

I bought a nuance license from Talknav on 25/10/2007. I remember it
cost
£150.00 so am pretty sure it was for the Talks and Zooms Premium product.

I now want to transfer the license to another phone. However, whereas
I have the e-mail with the license code for the old phone, it doesn't
give the IMEI of that phone, and I can't find my invoice anywhere in
the hope it would be there.

I no longer have the old phone, but can confirm it was completely
formatted (in fact has a firmware upgrade) before I sold it. The old
phone was a Nokia N91.

I know I should have noted the IMEI before I sold the phone. Truth is
I actually forgot I even had Talks on it, as I had purchased a new
license for my current phone. I now have another phone I wish to
sell, and wanted to transfer the existing license to it rather than let it go to waste.

Does anyone know if Talknav are able to retrieve order details for
this far in the past? I can confirm my name and address details have
no changed since then, nor my e-mail address.

If needs be, at a push I may be able to locate the purchase documents
for the Nokia N91 and the proof of sale to show I did in fact own the
phone then.

Any advice much appreciated, and hope the above isn't too confusing.
