This is not always true. There are some branded phones out there that will only except up to a 2GB micro SD card. most phones that take a micro sd hc memory card wil be able to handle 32gig card. When phone specs sate that the phone can take up to a certain size card, it can generally take larger size card. However, i have found that when i use a larger card than the phone specs say, accessing the larger card is slower.
