CatalinaOK! In that case being you tried installing it yesterday and without knowing the date on your phone! Please try setting the date on your phone to September 1st 2010. Then the program should install. Also make sure that you download the 2nd copy from the Mobile Weather web site and not the first copy. There is only 1 character different in the name so unless you compare the name character by character you may miss the Edition it is for. That is what the 3 in the file name is for. The other one has a 2.

You have to define a location or nothing shows up in the object viewer as words. I didn't have it on my n82, but I installed it and defined the roles as I described in my previous message and it worked fine. Define a location then go into the object viewer but pushing the talks key followed by a long push of the select key which is in the center of the 4 arrow keys. As you arrow down you'll come to the items I mentioned- the name of the city, wind, sun rise, sun set, the degrees, etc. If you want to see the forcast for the next day you have to push soft key 1 and it will ask if you want to view all unknown objects. Press the ok button or the select key. then continuing arrowing down and you see words that say the next day and gives the low and high forcasted. On each of these on the way down you click on them and click on role and choose one of the roles listed. Depending on which role you choose for the particular item you're on determines where it will show up when the info is read out. I gave the order I like, but someone else may want it switched around or you may not care about the time of sun rise or sun set. If that's the case, leave it out. By that I mean don't assign a role and it won't be read out. It works the same on my n82 as all of the other phones I have the program on. I hope this helps clarify what you do. Just remember to define a location before you start or there aren't any roles to define in the object viewer. Oh and you have to press the right soft key when you're done. It'll say done and put you back in the program and it'll read the info about the location you put in.Denise At 11:50 AM 12/31/2010, you wrote:Hi Denise,Do you actually see wind, and other words in the object viewer. First I'd define a location it makes assigning things easier. To get to the object viewer you do the talks key long push of the center select key. When the object viewer comes up arrow down to the city you've defined. Click on the city. It brings up another level of information. Arrow to role. Click on role and then arrow to Title and click on it. It takes you back to the object viewer. Arrow down one to wind report and click on it. Arrow to role and click. Assign Name. You're now back in object viewer. I've included sun rise and sunset in my defined objects. So arrow down one to sun rise click go to role and choose focus. Then arrow to sun set, click on it then role. choose text. Arrow down once more to the degrees, click and click on role. Choose subtitle. You can quit there it you like. I've clicked on soft key 1 and brought up all objects which give you a longer list. If you arrow down several you'll come to one that gives you the next day with the low and high projected. I've clicked on that and assigned the role of tree. this makes it sho up as the last spoken item. You don't have to choose the roles in the same order that I have done, but this order gives the information in the order I want it spoken when mobile weather reads out the information. This order reads- the city, the degrees, the wind, the sun rise and then sun set times and lastly the forcast for the next day. That's the order I like but you may have a different order that suits you better. If that's the case assign the roles differently until you get the order and the information you want. this is the detailed view. After this is set up, If you just want a quick overview, switch to list view and it just reads the city name with the degrees and says sunny or cloudy...This should get you set up. I't used it on a n82, and a n95 dash 3. A lot of times, all models of phones aren't listed but just a few of them to give you a idea of the different types of phone it has been used on. In all cases, you can download the software and install it and try it. In the case of this program! You will need to make use of the Talks object viewer to get full access to the information. Being i'm sending this from my phone, some one else will have to send you the email on the object viewer and how to configure it to work with Mobile weather. This will give you a good understanding of what the object viewer in Talks can do and how good theTalks software is. Smile. Signed: Stephen Giggar Skype: dr-phone.
