I think the huge disadvantage to going with the windows mobile side right now is it is a dead end platform as far as we know til we don't know when and if anything will change about that. Microsoft has left out any hooks or anything for windows mobile 7 to be made accessible with screen readers and 6.5, the latest version before that is about to be out dated. That will make it both more difficult to find phones running it and out dated technology right out of the gate. This might not matter to you, but is possibly a huge consideration. I wouldn't buy it for that very reason. I don't know if talks is just releasing something they have been putting work into for a while and have just released it, but I don't know wwhy they would put development effort into that right now.
