Hi, just set it to check every hour in the email settings. That should do the trick. Carla. -original message- Subject: Re: [Talks] n86 email: I've solved one problem and created another From: "Carin Headrick" <headrick2...@rogers.com> Date: 04/09/2010 8:07 pm
Her-rumph. So did you get rid of the email notification thingamabob? If so, how? That seems to have something to do with it. Once I've told it to buzz off, the poor baby won't try and look for email again until I open the program. One of many reasons why I gave up and went to Emoze. I was able to make it stop trying to create mailboxes though. This is going to sound crazy, but I'll tell you how I got it to work for me. It seemed that the mailbox creation thing only happened when I left the email program running in the background. Unlocking the keypad is what always triggered it for me. If I completely closed the email program, I didn't have any trouble. I had the mail client set up to check for mail once an hour. It stil checked like it was supposed to even though it appeared the program was completely closed. It makes no sense to me, but that's really what it did. If I just chose to hide the program instead of closing it, I had the trouble you describe but closing it worked fine and it still checked for updates. I discovered this by accident. I have no idea if it will work for you too but it's worth a shot. Audrey On 9/3/10, Carin Headrick <headrick2...@rogers.com> wrote: > Hi again. It appears nothing can go super smoothly.
