Yeah the thing that shows up in the main screen that first says set up email. Then it turns into set up email notificat. and then it becomes whatever your mailbox is called. I'm gonna have to do some diggin'.

Seems like I had to restart the phone to recover from that mailbox creation thing. I turned of the new mail notification. It's in the settings of the mail client somewhere but I don't remember exactly where. I can go look for it if you don't find it.
