It's quite intuitive, has a user friendly interface, and features different navigation modes (https://i.imgur.com/g1ROEyR.jpeg).
It also has the function of offline maps, so it works with no internet connection.

In my humble opinion in order to convince someone to switch to OSM, the quantity and quality of OSM-data must be convincing enough.
As to quantity - there are ~77k addresses found in the database of Bologna city (https://opendata.comune.bologna.it/explore/dataset/rifter_civici_pt/information/) while there are some ~55k addresses for Bologna present in OSM.
So a lot of addresses are probably still missing in the OSM database and would have to imported first.
Unfortunately the data of Bologna is licensed under CC BY 4.0, so they can not be imported without a explicit acceptance of the data owner aka "Waiver" (like i.e. here: https://www.comune.montagnainvaltellina.so.it/c014044/zf/index.php/atti-amministrativi/delibere/dettaglio/atto/GTVRZekU1VT0-H).
I checked some old imports that were made 12 years ago (https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/11198080), but unfortunately there is no documentation to this import, and no information if any Waiver has been issued by the commune before.
So, if anyone can obtain such a document from the commune, then the missing addresses can be relatively easy imported (I already did a preliminary check of the data).
As to quality - there is quite a bit of wrong addresses present in OSM for Bologna.
Sometimes the addr:street is evidently wrong as here https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/2007503, sometimes the addr:street doesn't match the street name leading to the addresses being unfindable by Nominatim and other geocoders (https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/1704577287 v.s. https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/30823828 , search (https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=Bologna%20via%20Annunziata%205#map=19/44.484728/11.340466) leads to no address hit or to a wrongly hit somewhere else).
In total I identified addresses belonging to over 100 streets where there is a mismatch between addr:street and highway's name.
So - still a lot of work do be done in Bologna...
