To add to this, you can also do a boundary relation with boundary=place to map the area if it's clearly defined as well.

The name of a place applies to all landuses in that area, not just residential.

Parks, cemeteries & schools are not "areas of land having predominantly residential buildings such as houses or apartment buildings"
