To avoid any sort of confusion out there: I'm specifically talking about *flush* medians (one which can easily be repurposed into a driving lane), not just the tagging of *any* highway median. Some image reference: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Flush_traffic_medians
I thought it should have been clear not just because I mentioned it at the introductory paragraph and later on to the exceptions but also because the practice of mapping a dual carriageway is long established. The other thing is that I haven't yet integrated any images into the proposal which would have made it pretty clear on what I'm actually proposing (it's still on draft, not actually proposed). -----Original-Nachricht----- Betreff: Re: [Tagging] Proposal - Median strip Datum: 2025-02-14T10:09:03+0100 Von: "Warin" <61sundow...@gmail.com> An: "tagging@openstreetmap.org" <tagging@openstreetmap.org> On 14/2/25 08:07, Manuel Binias wrote: Am Donnerstag, 13. The description of 'median strip' looks to be too restrictive. To me a 'median strip' separates opposing lanes of traffic by some distance? In Australia the width can be far more than a single lane and occupied by a variety of things all on one 'median strip'.
