There are also perhaps-related endeavors like ODM on mapscaping.com [1], at least one related video [2], a software repository [3], a cloud-based imagery-processing app [4], Site Scan for ArcGIS [5] and more, including people who have created businesses to provide "drone services" like flyovers for video advertisements by real estate agents, for example.
So, it's a "happening domain" in the mapping world. Maybe OSM wants to guide some sane tagging in our data, maybe, as I suggested in my previous post, there are "other aeronautical charts" (which exist today or might be created in a near-future) which are better sources (than OSM) for these data. Again, I'll say this isn't a small nor simple endeavor; I'd say it'd be a fair bit of effort to get a lot of heads nodding together in a year or two, but it seems to me it could be done.
