I've also generally avoided doing it on bridges, lest the trail name be

I've found that mappers are less inclined to put bridge names in name=*
once enough man_made=bridge areas are mapped in the vicinity. Granted,
it's much less common for mappers to bother mapping bridge areas for
pedestrian and bike bridges. That requires considerably more squinting
at aerial imagery.
