There are two very different things: * IT * coding IT considers wider/higher-level things like stability, quality of the final product, documentation, usability etc. etc. IT expertise is gained by years of doing work on IT (coding is NOT IT expertise). Only coders/nerds are interested in things like "making sql slightly easier to write in some cases". Such motivation would be totally insufficient for ANYBODY with at least a little bit of IT experience to cause change of widely used thing (in this case water tagging schema). Such change would be considered stupid by anybody with IT experience. Only nerds care about where clauses having one line or two lines without thinking about the wider picture: data consumers, documentation, videos - stuff which is already produced, stuff which in some cases cannot be changed (like printed books) or costs a lot to be changed. _______________________________________________ Tagging mailing list Tagging@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging
