We have a widely used scheme for tagging cycle lanes/paths on the road way:
cycleway=lane|track with variants.
Extrapolating from that for the pedestrian "lane" seems obvious to me:
sidewalk=lane (plus variants).
For separate sidewalks there is
sidewalk=yes (plus variants)

Why invent something different?
